Enhancements to both hardware and software are provided by Datapath VisionSC-HD4+. Users of the Vision Performance Driver may take use of a number of tools to assist them in achieving their objectives. The features include hardware-based timestamping, automated signal recognition, LiveStream, a low latency capture solution, MultiStream, which enables independent management of several instances of a single recording, and more.

VisionSC-HD4+ has four onboard video capture channels; two channels of HDMI 1.4 offering  3840x2160 @ 30 frames per second (fps) and two HDMI 1.3 channels offering 1920x1080 @ 60 fps, all operating independently of each other. This enables four separate 4 video sources to be captured and controlled simultaneously. The card also has embedded audio support across all four channels. The VisionSC-HD4+ is shipped with adapter cables for either HDMI or DVI.

For streaming applications, the VisionSC-HD4+ can be used with Windows Media Encoder to compress and stream captured video. To replay the video, use Windows® Media Player. Any application compatible with Windows® DirectShow technology can use the VisionSC-HDMI4 due to it built-in WDM support.
