The Matrox Monarch HD MHD/I Streaming Recording Appliance is a tiny, simple-to-use video streaming and capturing appliance designed for professional video producers that need to broadcast a live event while also recording a Blu-ray quality version for post-event editing. Matrox Monarch HD provides an H.264-encoded stream complying with the RTSP or RTMP protocol from any HDMI input device, such as a camera or switcher. Matrox Monarch HD concurrently records a high-quality MP4 file to an SD card, a USB drive, or a network-mapped disc while encoding the video at bitrates suited for live streaming. Matrox Monarch HD may be operated remotely from any computer or mobile device that has a web browser.
