Kaya Instruments KY-FEXT-II CoaXPress 12G Range extender Over Fiber offers a high-resolution stream interface for up to 300m in multi-mode and 80km in single-mode. Optical fibre does not emit and is not sensitive to electromagnetic interference since it is electrically separated. Additionally, it gets rid of the issues with grounding. CoaXPress repeater fibre cable offers more secure communication since it cannot be readily tapped. Two convertors—one on the host side and one on the camera side—make up the system. While the converter on the host side can draw power from the frame grabber, the converter on the camera side can supply power to the camera through a CoaXPress link.
