The XVD Professional HD-TX2000 is a compact and versatile real-time HDTV/SDTV encoder. Utilizing next generation XVD technology, the HD-TX2000 enables users to acquire and deliver high-quality digital video and audio at reduced cost over DVB satellite, COFDM microwave and broadband IP networks.

Designed for live remote and mobile applications such as DENG, the HD-TX2000 provides DVB/ASI and IP network outputs for real-time streaming of XVD-HD/SD data packets. It provides HD-SDI and SD-SDI inputs and outputs making it compatible with digital studio and post production facilities. Users can select a variety of standards in HD (1080i /30 or 720p/60) and SD (NTSC or PAL). The HD-TX2000 is compact, lightweight, and has very low power requirement. At one-fifth the size of conventional HD encoders, it provides operational versatility.

The HD-TX2000 offers real-time compression of HDTV content at encoded data rates between 3-10 mbps, and SDTV at 250 Kbps–5.0 Mbps. Full D1 resolution can be achieved in SDTV at encoded data rates as low as 1 Mbps for non-aggressive video, and 2-3 Mbps for aggressive content.
